You must be curious about this topic as I do. It might sounds confusing but the reality is yet to come, we all have to accept the fact that everything changes from one year to another. Throughout these years, there is one major thing that really impact this modernize generation which is what called the “Technology”. Let me introduce and share to you how social media, texting and the internet makes the world become bigger/smaller.
DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Some people might think the advanced in technology has its pros and cons that are all depends on whether or not they like it. We all have different perspectives, opinions and thoughts on everything we do or the technology does. One might want the technology to take over the world but some did not. Therefore, this also become an argument can go either way.
According to an article from (JustScience, 2018), Social Media has definitely makes the world become smaller. Just to clarify the word “smaller” in this statement, it means that social media is trying to bring the world together, making it smaller with many connections.
ACTUALLY IT MAKES THE WORLD SMALLER
A commonality of interest: when people can actually build a network or new community of people together who share common interests and get to know each other more. That helps encourage us to be more open-minded as well as sharing each other information.
Social media also bring in larger audience that let us interact with people all around the world such as Facebook that connect people from afar area and makes it feels like we are always together by sharing our locations. Most importantly, large amount of those social media applications did not charge a cent to create an account. Furthermore, it plays a big role in business nowadays. Many business persons boost up their sales through the advanced of technology that it changes the way business corporations now interact with their clients and public at large.
According to World Economic Forum, estimated by 2018 around 2.44 billion people will be using social networks, up from 970,000 in 2010. Almost everyone in this whole world uses technologies not just internet but also devices such as smartphones for texting. Every single minute was estimated more than 30 million messages goes on Facebook and Tweeters.
In additions, social media itself might be the banks of the future that help with businesses all around the world, it also helps shaking up healthcare and public health through online communication from one place to another in the fastest way, social media is changing how we govern and are governed as well. Moreover, social media and the internet creates a huge impact on people, makes the world seems smaller not just for connections but also help on the global economic structure that relates to production, trades by developing with new products also new processes.
